The second Monday of February is International Epilepsy Day, a day dedicated to raising public awareness of the disorder.
This year’s theme for International Epilepsy Day (13 February), “Step Up Against Stigma”, provides a platform for people with epilepsy, and those who care for them, to dispel myths with facts. Epilepsy is a treatable brain condition and 70% of persons with epilepsy are well-controlled with medications.
